Trend Presentation
Monday May 17, 3:30 – 4:30 pm

Color is a remarkable instrument that allows us to control, to some extent, the way in which we feel or perform within an area. It provides the designer with the capacity to make a statement, suggest direction, define boundaries and provide awareness. With this in mind, our seminar, ‘Colour Futures 2011.2012’, will delve into the insight and details behind the color vision we are anticipating in the upcoming years. Will colors be engaging and passionate or serene and sophisticated? In what direction will neutrals take us?

As we work and play our way from morning till midnight… we are oftentimes unaware of the elements in our surroundings that influence our feelings. The composition of light, sound, scent, texture and temperature that exist in every environment may have a subtle or profound effect upon us. We will touch on the principles that have inspired designers in their selection of color… and therefore gain a greater understanding of the thought process used in color styling specific structures. Emphasis will be placed on the psychological reasoning associated with particular colors and appropriate applications.

Join us for an informative look at color… it is a fascinating journey.
