White Plains, NY — July 13, 2017 — SURTEX®, the leading marketplace to source original art & design, is pleased to announce two organizational changes to the team managing the event. Randi Mohr, Vice President, has been named Group Show Director for SURTEX, and Awanda Booth, previously the sales consultant on the event, has been named Sales Manager.
“Adding Randi Mohr to drive the strategy and next stage of growth is a particularly inspired choice for SURTEX,” said Christopher McCabe, Executive Vice President. “Randi has been with Emerald Expositions for more than 14 years on the NY NOW event, in various sales positions that progressed to her current leadership role on this successful and enduring wholesale trade event. There are important synergies between NY NOW and SURTEX to the extent that we’re adding a SURTEX preview to the NY NOW 2018 winter market. This felt like a perfect pairing. Her extensive sales expertise and general trade show knowledge, combined with her drive and passion will energize both the show and the team to new levels of growth,” he finished.
Awanda Booth is a more recent addition to Emerald Expositions, joining the team in November, 2016 and immediately taking charge of booth sales for the event. Ms. Booth brings more than 15 years’ experience in the music industry, where she worked both in marketing and on the Artist & Repertoire side. “Since music publishing is about ownership and licensing grants the right to use what the publisher artist has created, my experience in this arena naturally lends itself to working on SURTEX,” Booth shared.
“Awanda brings a unique set of talents and experience, as well as an incredible desire to continue working with extraordinary artists, which makes her such a wonderful addition to SURTEX, said Ms. Mohr. “Both on-site and post-show, we’ve heard nothing but positive comments about the contributions she made to this year’s event, and her ability to quickly develop substantial relationships with the exhibiting community,” she stated.
